Meet 1 - Sat, Mar 16 - Ikes
The first ECTC Central Division Trap Meet is on Saturday, March 16, starting at 7:30 AM, at the Lincoln Izaak Walton League facility ("the Ikes" where we practice). Squad assignments are at the bottom of the page, formatted for easy display on a phone's screen.
Please read the following information carefully regarding the meet and the facility.
Start Time. Shooting starts at 7:30 AM, Saturday, March 16, 2024. Please give yourself plenty of time to find parking, get your gear ready, and get to your trap on time.
Parking. Car pool if you can. People will be getting there pretty early to claim parking spots. Show up early if you want to make sure you have a place to park! DO NOT park on the road (134th Street) or on the land to the south of the Izaak Walton grounds! If you do, your car will likely be ticketed and might be towed.
Trap Loading. Because the Ikes is our home range, LSE Trap will be responsible for keeping traps 6 and 7 loaded throughout the meet. The coaches cannot do this on their own. We will need other people (parents and students) to help with this throughout the day. Volunteers are appreciated!
Weather - Clothing and Gear. The forecast for Saturday is COLD in the morning. Lots and lots of COLD to start the day, it should warm up some as the day goes on. Dress for the weather! Warm clothing, preferably in layers so you can adjust as the day warms up.
Team Tent and Tailgating. We will have a tailgating area, with the team trailer and tent. Our current plan is to set this up where we usually do at the Ikes, toward the south end of the covered storage area on the west side of the small gravel lot near the rock house (south of Trap 5). Look for the LSE Trap team flag. We'll have breakfast and lunch available at the tailgating area. If you have not already, please place a food order through the Food Orders for Meets page (also available under the site's Meets menu). Orders close Thursday night before the meet.
Volunteers for Snacks & Drinks. As always, we rely on volunteers to bring snacks and drinks to go along with our meals and for use throughout the day. If you'd like to contribute, please do so through the Snacks & Drinks Volunteers page (also available under the site's Meets menu).

Squads
16-yard squads for this meet are listed below, with Seniors starting the day and Juniors shooting when Seniors are done.
Please note the trap where you'll be shooting and the estimated time when your squad is scheduled to shoot. As always, these times are approximate. Show up early! Allow time to park and get your gear in order. Please be at your assigned trap, ready to shoot, at least 30 minutes (more for later squads) before your squad's scheduled time. Check the whiteboard on the back of the scoring chair at your trap to see when your squad is coming up. Some traps go through their scheduled squads faster than others. Your squad might go earlier than scheduled or might be moved to a different trap by the shoot director! Please be at your assigned traps and ready to shoot by the time your squad is on deck (i.e., next to shoot). Do not arrive to your assigned trap late or you will miss your chance to shoot; there are usually no "makeups" allowed.
Bring two boxes of ammo to the trap field for each subevent. Bring your second box of ammo to the line with you and leave it behind you on your starting post. Seniors (high schoolers) will shoot two boxes of ammo at 16 yards and then, later in the day, two more boxes at handicap yardage. Bring your second box of ammo to the line with you and leave it behind you on your starting post. The squads below are 16-yard squads only. For seniors (high schoolers), handicap squads will be assigned at the meet, based on your 16-yard performance. Your handicap yardage will be the average of your two 16-yard rounds, rounded up to the nearest whole number, with a lower limit of 18 yards.
